International Careers and Jobs Panel

March 23 & 25, 2021

The Tennessee World Affairs Council announced two new panels in its International Careers and Jobs series of seminars.

Twice a year we present professionals from a wide spectrum of international affairs jobs – at home and abroad – to provide students and young professionals with insights and perspectives they’d be hard pressed to find elsewhere.

This spring, for the first time, our program will focus on specific sectors in two events – the law and diplomacy.

First, on March 23rd at 1:30pm CT, we’ll present six legal professionals from three continents to talk about “Women in International Law.” They’ll talk about education and preparation, the nature of their work and the ups and downs of their trade as well as taking questions from the participants.

The “Women in International Law” program will reach students and young professionals across Tennessee in law schools, undergraduate pre-law and political science departments and the general public.

Second, on March 25th at 5:30pm CT, Foreign Service Officer and Diplomat in Residence, Allen DuBose will make a presentation and take questions about entry to the Foreign Service, working as an American diplomat and jobs at the State Department. The program is open to all – students, young professionals and the public.

We invite you to sponsor this two-day special program focused on working in the world. These panels are among the most popular programs the World Affairs Council offers and it’s extremely rewarding to see young people realize the possibilities open to them.
