ALERT for High School Teachers, Students, and Parents — and their families and friends.
WorldQuest teams and students interested in learning more about WorldQuest will gather on Saturday, November 12th at Belmont University in Nashville for a practice match.
If you are planning to form a team for the February 12, 2017 State Championship WorldQuest match or are considering putting together a team please contact the World Affairs Council so we can include you in the planning. [[email protected] | 931-261-2353]
WorldQuest is a quiz-bowl like global trivia competition that encourages high school students to learn more about the world through a fun and rewarding game. Four-student teams tackle ten topics in state and national matches. [Details on Worldquest at this link.]
For the practice match we encourage complete teams to participate, however, that is not a requirement. We welcome officially organized teams that have completed the team pledge form, as well as students (even less than foursomes) who are just testing the waters and want to know more about WorldQuest.
So, if you’re interested please contact the World Affairs Council to get your name on the November 12th practice match list.
- Don’t forget to look at the Tennessee Global Scholars Certificate program offered by the World Affairs Council. Participation in WorldQuest counts toward the student certificate.
- Don’t forget to get on the World Affairs Council email list to get the weekly quiz every Monday. The current events questions for WorldQuest are drawn from the news items included in the quiz.
