WorldQuest Update – Signup Today for Practice Match

 

Update on WorldQuest Planning

1 – Practice Match Signup Deadline Extended.

Teams have until Monday, November 27th to signup for the practice match set for Saturday, December 2nd.

2 – Practice Match Details

The World Affairs Council will host a practice match at Belmont University on December 2nd at 1pm. The competition will give teams experience in the format and types of questions to expect in the Championship Tournament on February 25th.

Convenient Parking Available

Park at Belmont’s Inman Center/North Garage (Directions at this Link). From Inman Garage take the Inman Building elevator to the second floor. Turn left to cross the pedestrian bridge to the Massey Business Center. Take the elevator to the 1st floor to reach Room 103.

3 – Practice Match Signup

Contact Catherine Kelly, TNWAC Education Outreach Coordinator, to register your team(s) for the practice match and for other information.

4 – Registration Fee Waiver

No team of students should miss the opportunity to participate in WorldQuest due to funding issues.

Thanks to generous support from a supporter the Council is able to waive the registration fee for teams for who funding is an issue.

Contact Catherine Kelly at the Council for details and to request a fee waiver.

5 – Practice Questions and Answers

For teams that will not be at the December 2nd practice match at Belmont University the Council will provide a copy of the questions and answers Powerpoint slides for use in a local practice round. Just let us know if you’d like a copy.

6 – Study Guides

The practice match and the State Championship match will draw questions from the study guide provided by the World Affairs Councils of America. It will also serve as the source for questions at the April national championship match. [The “Great Decisions” category will not be used for the TNWAC matches.]
