WorldQuest Is Here! | Sunday Afternoon at Belmont University

Congratulations and thanks to the teachers who organized teams at your schools.  

This year there will be a total of 17 teams competing in Academic WorldQuest — a record high number for the Tennessee World Affairs Counci!

We are pleased to welcome students, teachers, families and friends to the Tennessee Championship Match on Sunday, February 25th, at Belmont University at 1pm.

Here are the schools competing this year—a total of 17 teams!

Centennial High School, Franklin, TN – 1 team
Gwinnett School of Science, Mathematics, and Technology, Lawrenceville, GA – 2 teams
Harpeth High School, Kingston Springs, TN – 1 team
Hume Fogg Academic Magnet, Nashville, TN – 5 teams
Knowledge Academies, Nashville, TN – 1 team
Lipscomb Academy, Nashville, TN – 1 team
Martin Luther King, Jr., Academic Magnet, Nashville, TN– 2 teams
Overton High School, Nashville, TN – 1 team
Randolph School, Huntsville, AL – 3 teams

A few reminders…

Time and Location:

Ayres Conference Rooms C&D, 4th Floor, Janet Ayres Academic Center, Belmont University

12:30 p.m. – Registration
1:00 p.m. – Welcome & Competition Start
4:15 (about) – Awards
4:30 (about) – Championship Match Concludes

Note: The match will be run in three periods with shorter total breaks than in previous years when there was a long halftime break — in an effort to keep the pace up and the match from running too long.

Parking: The Janet Ayers Academic Center is located at the corner of Wedgewood and 15th avenues on the northern front of Belmont University’s campus. There is free, lighted, parking in the garage located underneath the building, with elevator access to all floors. Entrances are located off of Wedgewood Avenue via the alley entrance and 15th Avenue, through both roundabouts.

The Ayres Conference Room is on the 4th floor of the Academic Center.
