Michael McClellan – U.S. State Department

Michael McClellan is a Recruitment and Outreach Officer with the Office of Recruitment, Examination, and Employment at the U.S. Department of State. During his three decades with the U.S. Information Agency and the U.S. Department of State, Michael served as a Public Diplomacy Officer in Yemen, Egypt, Russia, Serbia, Germany, Kosovo, Ireland, Iraq (twice), Ethiopia, and South Sudan, where he served as Deputy Chief of Mission. He was also Diplomat-in-Residence at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He retired in 2014 with the rank of Minister-Counselor.

Lindsay Voight – Former Peace Corps Volunteer

Lindsay grew up in Nashville and joined the Peace Corps after college. After serving in China, she earned her Masters in International Development from Fordham University and went on to Cambodia to serve as a project manager for a Water & Sanitation nonprofit there. She has most recently worked as a trainer for new Peace Corps volunteers in Cambodia and East Timor, and has recently returned to Nashville.

John Scannapieco
Attorney, Co-Chair Global Business Team; Shareholder – Baker Donelson

John M. Scannapieco is a shareholder in the Nashville office of Baker Donelson and is a co-leader of the Firm’s Global Business Team. Business is increasingly global in scope with improved technology, transportation and communication, as well as increased migration and the movement of people, all of which has increased globalization, making cross-border business and trade more practical. John provides strategic guidance and counsel to businesses and individuals regarding their existing global operations or to those contemplating global expansion.

Cameron Manning, Cultural Programs Coordinator for Consulate General of Japan in Nashville

Cameron Manning is the Cultural Programs Coordinator at the office of the Consul General of Japan in Nashville where she coordinates activities, performances, scheduling and logistics for cultural programs such as festivals, lectures, and exchange programs in a five-state area that includes Tennessee. Cameron manages social and educational activities highlighting Japanese culture and relations.  She previously worked in the Embassy of Japan in Washington, DC.  Cameron is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she received a BA in Asian Studies.

Deborah Pixley, Senior Manager, Nissan North America

Deborah Pixley is a Senior Manager in Field Quality Investigations at Nissan North America. Prior to this role, Ms. Pixley spent four years on a foreign service assignment as a Manager in Corporate Quality Management at Nissan Motor Corporation’s global headquarters in Yokohama, Japan.

Ms. Pixley began her career at Mitsubishi R&D of America before moving to Nissan Technical Center North America in 2005. As an engineer, Ms. Pixley has held a variety of positions in vehicle test, program management and quality. These roles have taken her to numerous locations throughout the United States, and internationally to Japan, France, Canada, Mexico and Brazil.

Ms. Pixley earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Lawrence Technological University and a master’s of engineering in technical Japanese from University of Wisconsin.
