2022 World Affairs Council of the Year
Network of Independent World Affairs Councils of America

TODAY is the Day! Global Affairs Education In Your Community is At Stake #GivingTuesday

TODAY IS THE DAY

What’s your gift this #GivingTuesday?

Giving Tuesday (Nov. 27) is a global day of giving that follows Thanksgiving, Black Friday, and Cyber Monday. #GivingTuesday is fueled by the power of social media and collaboration.

YOU can be a part of this global movement by giving locally TODAY!

We know you have many options for giving at the end of the year. Your donation to TNWAC supports students and educators to become the innovative leaders we need to help tackle some of the world’s most pressing issues.

What have we done for you lately Nashville?

  • Last night a Global Town Hall on the crisis in Saudi-US relations featuring a distinguished speaker from the National Defense University in Washington.
  • Tomorrow’s hot topic special Global Dialogue on “Brexit: Everything You Need to Know.”
  • Sunday’s Academic WorldQuest competition match for high school students from around the state, inspiring youth to know the world.
  • Last month’s six events including our semi-annual International Careers and Jobs Panel.
  • All of the global affairs awareness programs included on our 2018 calendar. [Link]

Your World Affairs Council is a nonprofit educational organization (a 501c3 tax exempt charity) that does not receive government support. It relies on you to become members and make charitable gifts to pay its bills — the hundreds of dollars to bring global affairs speaker to the community, the thousands of dollars to fund the WorldQuest academic program for high school students, etc. etc. etc.

Periodically we pass the collection basket so you, stakeholders in global literacy among our fellow citizens and future leaders, can help us help the community to know what’s going on in an increasingly complex world.

So, why should you support global affairs awareness programs in Nashville?  If you don’t, who will?

Need more reasons to support global affairs awareness programs?

How about inspiring a high school senior in Tennessee onto a path to become a Doctoral Candidate in Middle East Studies?

Please make a gift or become a member or give the gift of membership this holiday season.

Help us increase our impact in 2019.

No gift is too small.
