Thankful

“As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them.” – John F. Kennedy

A note to Tennessee World Affairs Council members, donors, volunteers, interns, board members, program attendees, WorldQuest students, Belmont University and everyone in our community reached through our programs.

As we pause to join families and friends in the observance of Thanksgiving your World Affairs Council would like to offer a word of thanks to all who make our work possible.

As we pursue the Council’s vision of “a well-informed community that thinks critically about the world and the impact of global events” we are mindful that whatever we accomplish in increasing the global affairs awareness in our community depends on your support. To this end we say, “Thank you.”

As we continue to grow and further inspire and educate our community, especially young people, we will remain mindful of the spirit of the words of scholar and author W. T. Purkiser who noted, “Not what we say about our blessings, but how we use them, is the true measure of our Thanksgiving.”

Best wishes for your Thanksgiving.

Patrick W. Ryan
