Honoring USS Tennessee Crew at Navy Week Luncheon | Jun 5

The World Affairs Council is pleased to share announcements about international and national security events that may be of interest to our members and guests. Today we are providing information about this special celebration on behalf of U.S. Submarine Veterans in Nashville.

On the occasion of Nashville Navy Week crewmen from the USS Tennessee will be honored in a luncheon hosted by area Submarine Vets.

Join us to welcome the crew of the State’s namesake warship, the Trident ballistic missile submarine USS Tennessee during Navy Week in Nashville.

The Commanding Officer, Chief of the Boat and six crew members will be honored at a luncheon organized by the US Submarine Vets Volunteer (Nashville) Base and the Tennessee Submarine Memorial Association.

Enjoy a buffet luncheon offered by Mission BBQ as speakers offer remarks about the Navy, the Submarine Service and the USS Tennessee.

Join our tribute to submariners lost in a “Tolling of the Boats” accompanied by a bagpiper.

This will be a special opportunity to welcome and honor our Navy in Nashville.
