Tennessee World Affairs Council President Patrick Ryan was recently invited to the “Cumberland Viewpoint” radio show in Cookeville to talk about the US foreign policy crisis concerning Syria and reaction to the reported use of chemical weapons against civilians.

In Memoriam | Amb Roscoe Suddarth (1935-2013)

The Tennessee World Affairs Council is sad to report the passing on June 29th of Ambassador Roscoe “Rocky” Suddarth, who was raised in Nashville and went on to a distinguished career as a Foreign Service Officer including service as U.S. Ambassador to Jordan. Suddarth’s career took him to many difficult assignments in the Middle East and North Africa during turbulent times in U.S. foreign policy history.

Prize Update – 2013 Academic WorldQuest for High School Students

The Tennessee World Affairs Council will host the 2013 State Championship Match for Academic WorldQuest for high school students on February 23, 2013 at Belmont University. Today TN WAC is pleased to announce that through the generosity of an anonymous donor we are able to add a special prize at the competition for the 2nd place team — a Kindle Fire tablet for each of the four team members and the coach.
