Support

It’s up to you to help promote an understanding of the complex world the next generation will inherit. Your membership and support will help encourage informed discussion of world affairs, demonstrating the growing connections between Americans and the rest of the world.

The Tennessee World Affairs Council needs you!

Students participating in the Leadership Putnam Youth Academy were among those receiving international affairs briefings at the Tennessee World Affairs Council.

Help us continue our programs across Tennessee. Help support the only organization promoting a nonpartisan forum in which to discuss the full range of international issues confronting our state, our region and our country, and help us prepare Tennessee students to compete in a global marketplace. Support the Council through a variety of opportunities!

Become a member and invite your company to join as well! Membership also makes a great gift this holiday season!

Donate to our annual fund! While an important source of revenue, membership only covers a fraction of our operating costs; annual fund support fills the gap between operating expenses and income, and thus it is integral to our continued success.

Make an individual donation or ask your company to support the Council, and don’t forget to explore your employer’s matching gift opportunities. Many corporations will “match” an employee’s charitable gift — thereby doubling the impact of your support at no added expense to you. So find out your company’s policy today!

Career journalist, author and Middle East authority Thomas Lippman was among the distinguished visiting speakers the Tennessee World Affairs Council brought to high schools, universities, civic organizations and other venues.

How you can help:

Donate – The Council works hard to keep its expenses to the minimum. However, the programs and resources we are able to offer to our communities and schools is inevitably related to the funds we can raise each year, the corporate support we attract and the grants we are able to secure. Please give generously to our work to bring global awareness education to Tennessee and especially to our next generation of leaders. You can make a one time donation in any amount or join the Council as a “Global Centurion” which includes a pledge of support in the amount of $100 per year for a three year period. Any donation above the $40.00 level will automatically translate into an individual membership signup for the donor. Check HERE to make a donation to sustain global awareness education programs in Tennessee through the Council’s works.
