Support Global Affairs Awareness Programs in Your Community Today

END OF YEAR TAX CALCULATIONS?

We can’t eliminate all your income tax headaches but your end of year gift to support global affairs awareness could reduce your tax load. Give to the Annual Fund of the Tennessee World Affairs Council – a 501c3 nonprofit educational charity. Donations are tax deductible. Donate To Support Global Awareness Education.

The Tennessee World Affairs Council is pleased to share this important message from former Nashville Mayor Karl F. Dean, board member of the Tennessee World Affairs Council.

KarlDean

I have had the good fortune to become involved with the Tennessee World Affairs Council and to join as a hands-on serving board member.

I know the organization is already doing fantastic work in our schools, bringing international speakers into our community and much more. It has incredible potential.

I believe the organization is well run. It is lean — organized and run 100% by volunteers. And any dollar that is contributed to the World Affairs Council will show you, our students and our community a real return on your investment.

The World Affairs Council will make our city a stronger, better place. It will contribute to our economic well-being. It is going to make Nashville a more interesting place. And it’s going to be good for our kids.

I encourage you to make a donation, at whatever level you can afford, to the Tennessee World Affairs Council. You won’t regret it. It’s a solid organization doing important work.

— Karl F. Dean, World Affairs Council Board of Directors

A 29% Pass Rate Is Not Acceptable

Just 29% of 18-24 year old Americans passed a basic test on global affairs information according to a September 2016 survey by National Geographic and the Council on Foreign Relations. We believe this is unacceptable ignorance on the part of our citizens about what’s going on in the world. If you do too we will use your support to make a difference. [Source]
