UT Knoxville Student Marketing Technology Support Specialist (paid)

We are seeking a student technical marketing specialist to support and manage various marketing platforms, graphic design, and technology to advance our mission. These responsibilities include creating marketing graphics for programs (Canva), managing our website (WordPress, Elementor), social media platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram), email communications (Mailchimp), and support with in-person and virtual events. To apply, please email Amy Lea Gregory ([email protected]) with your resume and letter of interest.

Former professor and researcher in Music Education at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul – UFRGS – Porto Alegre, Brazil. During her career she served on several organization related to international cooperation: Director of Institutional and International Cooperation of CNPq (Brazilian National Council for Scientific and Technological Development); Director of International Affairs of UFRGS; President-Elect-President-Past-President of the International Society for Music Education – ISME; Vice-President of the International Music Council – IMC, advisory body for music to UNESCO. Her publications include books, book chapters, prefaces and refereed journal articles published in Brazil, England, Australia, Argentina, Hong Kong, Germany, and Spain. She was an invited lecture at the University of Nebraska and University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and acted as a grant’s development consultant for the Illinois Community College, and for A3ES – Portugal she worked on Accreditation of Higher Education degrees. Dr. Hentschke is currently Executive Director of the Tennessee World Affairs Council in Nashville, TN.

Kathryn Swanton

Kathryn Swanton is the President and CEO of Metkat Marketing, LLC, a Nashville-based marketing agency that leads marketing strategies for nonprofits and small businesses. With over 15 years of experience in marketing, public relations, and sales, she has helped over 30 organizations enhance their brand awareness to grow their presence and influence, both online and throughout our community. 

Kathryn holds a M.S. in International Marketing Management from the University of Leeds Business School and a B.S. in Business Administration with a minor in French Communication from Nazareth College of Rochester. Her awards include Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce Emerging Leader Finalist (2024, 2025), Nashville Cable Rising Star Award Finalist (2023), Nashville Cable Power of Inclusion Award Winner (2023), and Nashville Business Journal Leader in Diversity Honoree (2023).

Ashley Wickland

Ashley is a humanitarian with over 13 years of experience with international emergency and development assistance. While she started out implementing programs, the majority of her career has been with USAID doing everything from technical advisor to field officer in U.S. Embassies all over the world. She has served on emergency responses including Haiti, Gaza, Ethiopia, Mali, Central Africa Republic, and Niger. She is currently working toward becoming an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and hopes to use those skills to improve breastfeeding in emergencies. 

Ashley currently resides in Clarksville with her kids and dogs and volunteers with the Tennessee World Affairs Council. She received her MS in Food Policy and Applied Nutrition from Tufts University and a BS in Management from Oral Roberts University. Prior to her humanitarian career, she taught English in South Korea and Japan.
