The Tennessee World Affairs Council is pleased to play a part in a forum addressing the unrest and revolt sweeping the Arab world. On Wednesday, April 6, from 7-9pm, a panel at Tennessee Tech University in Cookeville will tackle the questions with a central focus on the Egyptian experience in the “Arab Spring.”

Council President Patrick Ryan will participate in the panel alongside TTU Professor Jon Jonakin and Ms. Gelan Bader, an exchange student from Egypt’s Arab Academy for Science and Technology.

The forum, titled “Revolution in the Arab Street? Egypt and Beyond,” is being organized by the Associated Scholars Guild, the Honors Program of Tennessee Tech University under the direction of Forum Committee Chair Bridgette Buchanan and Professor Rita Barnes. The event is being held at the TTU Nursing Hall Auditorium and more information is available from Ms. Buchanan (email: [email protected] )
