Japan Is Igniting Nashville’s Tech Sector | JAST Mitsui Lecture Series

REGISTER NOW FOR TUESDAY’S PROGRAM

On behalf of our friends at the Japan-America Society of Tennessee, Inc.

JAST is honored to present the first session of The Mitsui Lecture Series on Tuesday, August 31st at 2:00 p.m. CDT.

Riding a New Wave: How Japan is Igniting Nashville’s Vibrant Tech Sector is a virtual symposium that will explore Middle Tennessee techology-based innovation and economic growth fueled by Japanese business investment. Japanese companies in Tennessee are investing in technology that powers Nashville’s economic growth.

Moderator Brian Moyer and four top-notch IT executives from Bridgestone Americas, Nissan and NTT DATA Services will come together to exchange views and share their knowledge about the use of technology by local manufacturers and healthcare companies to serve their customers, why their companies came to Nashville, how this benefits the Middle Tennessee economy and the approach of Japanese companies to technology.

Lori Odom, JAST Board Secretary and VP, International Business, Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce will deliver a special welcome from JAST.

The Mitsui Lecture Series is made possible by the generous support of The Mitsui U.S.A. Foundation to deepen the understanding of contemporary Japan and Tennessee and create a sense of community and exchange. This year, high profile speakers will participate in three forums highlighting Japan’s footprint around the world and its contributions to Tennessee’s prosperity over the last forty years.

The Mitsui U.S.A. Foundation was established in 1987 as the philanthropic arm of Mitsui & Co. (U.S.A.), Inc. for active, social contribution programs in communities where the company does business.
