CRISES IN THE MIDDLE EAST

TNWAC’s Global Focus talked with distinguished columnist, author, scholar and commentator Rami Khouri from the American University in Beirut about the crises sweeping the Middle East. From the Islamic State terrorists to the conflict between Israelis and Palestinians Mr. Khouri provided insights and perspectives on these critical national security and foreign policy issues. This was the inaugural Webcast in the Global Focus international affairs program series and TNWAC was pleased to welcome audience participation from across the World Affairs Councils of America network. Mr. Khouri joined the Global Focus Webcast, hosted by TNWAC President Patrick Ryan, from his office at the American University of Beirut, on August 20, 2014. The Webcast live audience included members of the Tennessee World Affairs Council and councils from around the United States. Check the Global Focus home page for more details about this and future Webcasts.
