For the March “Global Eats” we have made special arrangements to join a planned exclusive dinner at the Bavarian Bierhaus at Opry Mills Mall adding our TNWAC touch of dinner with fellowship and a specialist to talk about the featured country. For this occasion we will welcome Douglas Berry, Honorary Council-General of Germany in Tennessee who will speak on the German heritage in America.
The dinner is the Bavarian Bierhaus’ featured fixed menu with drink pairings, a German menu as part of their four-part Tour of Europe Dinners. The Bierhaus is offering TNWAC members a 10% discount for this special dinner. USE DISCOUNT CODE “TWAC” WHEN REGISTERING.
Description
Chef Dennis Stukel presents his Second Annual Tour of Europe Dinner series. In celebration of the four cuisines that Chef Dennis is trained in, we bring you a special dinner on the last Thursday of each month from January through April.
Each meal is a prix fixe four-course dinner with regional drink pairings. All courses and drinks are representative of the featured country. The third stop of the tour brings you to Germany.
The menu for the German tour is:
- Bayerische Bohnensuppe (Bavarian Bean Soup)
- Bismarck Rollmöpse (Pickled Herring Rolls)
- Kartoffelsalat und Gurkinsalat (Potato and Cucumber Salad
- Kohlrouladen und Schweinegulasch (Cabbage Rolls and Pork Goulash)
- Dampfnudeln (Steamed Pudding)

Dinner With Insights
To accompany your German dining experience we have invited the Honorary Council-General of Germany in Tennessee Douglas Berry to talk about German-American heritage in the United States.
Hon. Council General Berry is an attorney at the Nashville law firm of Miller and Martin. In 2017 he was awarded the Officer’s Cross of the German Order of Merit for his service as Honorary Council General.
