The Tennessee World Affairs Council in partnership with the Cookeville Breakfast Rotary Club is organizing the 2nd Annual International Night celebration in Cookeville. The event will be held at the Clarion Hotel in Cookeville on Saturday evening, January 29, 2011. Following the format of the January 2010 event which honored the country of India, the Rotary International Night event chooses a country for its focus each year. This year International Night will honor Saudi Arabia. The theme, cuisine, presentations and entertainment will reflect Saudi culture and will benefit from the support of the Saudi Student Club at Tennessee Tech University.
Tickets will be $25 with all proceeds benefiting the international programs of the Cookeville Breakfast Rotary club including the Rotary International effort to eradicate polio in the world, and the Club’s support for clean drinking water, school literacy work and medical clinic support in Western Ghana (check the www.RotaryGhanaProject.com site), and other international programs of Rotary. Tickets will be available in mid-November. Check back here and at CBRotary.com for more information.
