International Jobs & Careers Panel

Fall — October 22, 2018

More Panelists To Be Added

“…among the best programs offered by your World Affairs Council…”

Do you wonder what jobs and careers there are in international affairs?  There’s more than you think.  At least twice a year the World Affairs Council assembles diplomats, business people, NGO officials, returned Peace Corps volunteers and more to talk about their experiences and insights and to answer your questions at this very popular panel.  For the 2019-2020 season we will have at least two panels: fall at Lipscomb University and spring at Belmont University.

Join us to explore the careers and jobs that are open to you to get out into the world.  More information via the TNWAC newsletter. Click here to get on the list: NEWSLETTER SIGN UP LINK

FALL 2019 PANEL – MORE TO COME

Atlee Tyree
Returned Peace Corps Volunteer

Born and raised in Corpus Christi, Texas, Atlee has always had a passion for international travel and cross-cultural dialogue. She graduated from Emory University with a degree in Art History and African Studies, and shortly thereafter, she joined the U.S. Peace Corps to teach English in Ukraine. After nearly 3 years in Ukraine, she returned to the U.S. and moved to Nashville to earn a master’s degree in Community Development Action from Vanderbilt. While in Nashville, Atlee has worked primarily with immigrant-serving nonprofits and currently works as the Community Achieves Site Manager at Haywood Elementary School. She also does community engagement for Friends of Mill Ridge Park, the new 600-acre regional park in southeast Davidson County.
