Spotlight on Turkey – Phase II – Study Tour to Turkey
Phase II is a Study Tour of Turkey. Three teachers from each council will be selected to travel to Turkey, thus furthering their knowledge and experience of its people and culture. Teachers must attend the Phase I workshop in order to participate in the study tour and agree to participate in the Phase III “Portrait of Turkey” program.

The Tennessee World Affairs Council participated in the Spotlight on Turkey Program in 2008 and 2009 and has sent ten teachers on the summer study tour to Turkey. All of them reported that it was among the most rewarding and exciting opportunities they had experienced in their professional lives. We will post additional materials on this site in coming days to share those experiences with you here.
