The Tennessee World Affairs Council was established on February 14, 2007 when it was registered with the Secretary of State of Tennessee. It opened its doors in at 31 West First Street, Cookeville, TN on April 1, 2007.
The TNWAC report “Launch Plus Two Years” (LINK HERE) provides a summary of programs and resources that were made available to our communities.
The Council entered a partnership with Belmont University in Nashville and has begun a new phase in its history. It provides programs and resources to a wider community including some programs which reach Tennesseans across the state.
The Tennessee World Affairs Council is an independent, nonpartisan, nonprofit educational charity and is affiliated with the national network of similar organizations through the national office of the World Affairs Councils of America.
