Alp U. Levent
Vice President, Turkic American Federation of the Southeast
Mr. Levent was born in Turkey in 1962 and raised and educated in Istanbul, Turkey. Upon his graduating from high school, he was accepted to the Turkish Air Force Academy in 1980. During his academy years, he received a degree of Bachelor of Economics. He received a Master of Science in Business Administration from The College of Business Administration University of Maine and Marmara University in 1994. Also in 1994 he graduated from the Turkish Air War College from Istanbul, Turkey and received the Master of Arts in Military Science. In 1998 he graduated from the Turkish Joint Armed Forces College. In 2000, he received a degree of Master of Arts in Military Science at the United States Air Force Air University, Air Command and Staff College, Maxwell AFB, USA.
He served as an instructor in the Turkish Air War College during 1996-2000. He was privileged to be one of the founders of the NATO dedicated force pool of Turkish Armed Forces Logistics and Humanitarian Aid Brigade, in Ankara, Turkey as Chief Civil Military Operation Center (CCMOC) in 2000, and NATO Rapid Deployable Corps, in Istanbul, Turkey in 2001 as Chief Air Operation Coordination Center (CAOCC). In 2002 he was assigned to NATO Maintenance and Supply Agency (NAMSA), in Luxemburg as Chief Logistics Officer.
He is married to Jasmine Levent and they have three children together.
