Mr. Levent was born in Turkey in 1962 and raised and educated in Istanbul, Turkey. Upon his graduating from high school, he was accepted to the Turkish Air Force Academy in 1980. During his academy years, he received a degree of Bachelor of Economics. He received a Master of Science in Business Administration from The College of Business Administration University of Maine and Marmara University in 1994. Also in 1994 he graduated from the Turkish Air War College from Istanbul, Turkey and received the Master of Arts in Military Science. In 1998 he graduated from the Turkish Joint Armed Forces College. In 2000, he received a degree of Master of Arts in Military Science at the United States Air Force Air University, Air Command and Staff College, Maxwell AFB, USA.
He served as an instructor in the Turkish Air War College during 1996-2000. He was privileged to be one of the founders of the NATO dedicated force pool of Turkish Armed Forces Logistics and Humanitarian Aid Brigade, in Ankara, Turkey as Chief Civil Military Operation Center (CCMOC) in 2000, and NATO Rapid Deployable Corps, in Istanbul, Turkey in 2001 as Chief Air Operation Coordination Center (CAOCC). In 2002 he was assigned to NATO Maintenance and Supply Agency (NAMSA), in Luxemburg as Chief Logistics Officer. After his 22 years of active military service, he retired in 2003 and settled in Nashville, Tennessee.
During his military career he attended 23 major NATO courses and 17 seminars in different NATO countries. He actively joined 14 major NATO military exercises and 18 military side surveys in different NATO headquarters and bases. He has two published books which are currently used in Turkish War Colleges as education material. Also he has two award winning articles and four research papers published in his distinguished services over 25 years. He’s received 18 major awards in military fields.
Upon his retirement from the Turkish Air Force, he settled in Nashville, Tennessee. He started his own business in the restaurant equipment industry. His company received “Top Corporate Philanthropist Award” in 2013, 2014 & 2015.
He is married to Jasmine Levent and they have three children at the ages of 26, 16 and 9.
